I have sailed on six different river cruises sailing the Rhine, Seine, Moselle, Netherlands and the Danube rivers on four different river cruise companies. Each river cruise company offers a unique experience. This August will be my 7th river cruise that I will be escorting a group sailing Paris to Normandy itinerary with Ama Waterways. This year happens to be the 80th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy which I am very proud my dad was there to fight for our country.
If you have never experienced river cruising, you are missing out on one of my favorite ways to explore several countries in just one week plus only unpacking once. I have personally sailed twice with Ama Waterways, twice with Viking river cruises, once with Avalon and once with Riverside (formal Crystal river boats). Each river cruise company offers a very unique experience. What's great about river cruising is the trip is all inclusive.
