Mount Riggi

We’ve just returned from an extraordinary journey through Switzerland, a land of contrasting regions, harmonious culture, and breathtaking natural beauty. Hosted by Travel Leaders and Switzerland Tourism, our adventure from Lugano to Lucerne was nothing short of magical.

Our first stop was Lugano, a mesmerizing town where Italian flair meets Swiss tranquility. With stunning lake views at every turn and an atmosphere of safety and cleanliness, Lugano stole our hearts. The vibrant shopping, dining, and cultural scene were a feast for the senses.A day trip took us up Mount Salvatore by funicular, offering panoramic views that stretch all the way to Milan on a clear day. The hike down to Carona was filled with local wine, delicious food, and laughter - the perfect introduction to Swiss hospitality.

Our meetings in Lugano enriched us with insights into the diverse regions of Switzerland - encompassing German, Italian, French, and Swiss influences. The experience transformed our understanding of this multifaceted country, making us even more excited to share it with our clients.Evenings were spent in awe at locales like the Fattoria Moncuchetto Winery and the Lugano Arte and Culture Center - each offering a unique slice of Lugano's vibrant life.

Switzerland’s impeccable transport network, highlighted by the Swiss Rail Pass, offered seamless travel across the country. Whether it's boarding trains bound for the next discovery or hopping on buses and boats, the journey was as smooth as Swiss chocolate.

During our Swiss journey, a visit to Rigi Kulm stood out as a highlight that deserves its own chapter. Dubbed the "Queen of the Mountains," Rigi Kulm welcomed us with open arms, and the experience was nothing short of regal. After leaving Lugano, we found ourselves en route to this majestic peak. The journey itself was a wonderful prelude, combining train travel with the nostalgic charm of a cogwheel train that promised an ascent like no other. As we climbed higher, the landscape transformed before our eyes, unveiling a tapestry of lush meadows and snow capped peaks.Reaching the summit at nearly 6000 feet, we were greeted by a 360-degree panorama that held the essence of Switzerland in a single, awe-inspiring view. This mountaintop offered more than just views; it was a sanctuary of tranquility, where the hustle of daily life dissolved into the thin alpine air.

Lucerne awaited us with its array of historic and scenic wonders. From exploring the iconic Chapel Bridge and Old Town to the insightful visits to the Transportation Museum, every corner had a story to tell. The visit to Glasi Hergiswil introduced us to the art of glassblowing, enriching our journey with local craftsmanship.A culinary highlight was the delightful Chugelipastetli, a testament to Lucerne’s rich culinary tradition.

Our adventure culminated with an exhilarating trip to Mount Pilatus. Despite the clouds and rain, the ascent by gondola to almost 7000 feet was a journey into the clouds, offering visions of Switzerland’s soul-stirring landscapes. What resonated throughout our journey was not just the visual splendor of Switzerland but the profound connection it fosters - with nature, with culture, and with oneself. Switzerland is more than a destination; it's an experience waiting to unfold.

Inspired by our journey? Let us turn your dream into reality. From the enchanting streets of Lugano to the majestic peaks of Lucerne, your Swiss tale is just a call away.
