Touching down in St. Thomas is just a little bit of heaven.  It was an easy flight into St. Thomas and then a quick ride to the Ritz.   A beautiful property with something for everyone.  The resort was luxury feeling for couples and honeymooners, but it had plenty to do for families with children.  They even had a Jacques Cousteau Ambassador's of the Sea where children could learn about marine life and how to protect it.  Even though it was a place to learn and give back to the environment, the children were having a wonderful time. The Ritz chef is incredible and their food, especially fresh seafood, was delicious. While in St. Thomas, we spent time in Charlotte Amalie doing a little shopping, and also enjoyed bars and restaurants in the Red Hook area.

A quick ferry ride the next day took us right into the beautiful island of St. John. Cruz Bay where the ships come in is a vibrant little marina town with shops, bars and restaurants. We spent a ton of time exploring this beautiful area.  We then headed to our beautiful resort, Caneel Bay. Caneel is a historic hotel that has recently been renovated and it is 100% luxury all the way.  Built in the 1950's by the Rockefeller family, this resort had everything you could possibility want in a resort.  Top chefs, amazing views, unbelievable privacy, beaches around a huge portion of the resort, sea turtles, nature and so much more. This resort is the perfect honeymoon and anniversary location, and would be an absolute amazing spot for a destination wedding. The pictures would be spectacular.

The following day we headed to the private resort island of Peter Island in the British Virgin Islands.  We went by yacht and with the help of the captain and crew, we cleared customs in Virgin Gorda.  We were met at the boat by the entire staff at Peter Island, welcoming us with cocktails and snacks. Although very quiet, this location is so unique and beautiful for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.  With steel drums playing on the beach and an umbrella drink in my hand, I could feel my blood pressure melt away.  This location is not only perfect for couples, but they have a few larger villas where families could congregate and spend some quality time together. Golfing and shopping would be done across on Virgin Gorda, but you may never want to leave the serenity of your pool chair once you get there.

These were three beautiful resorts, all unique and amazing. I can't wait to go back.
